Who is Rural Bank of Digos Inc?

The first bank in Digos and the southern part of the then Empire Province of Davao was RB DIGOS. It began operations on February 17, 1956, with a staff of five (5) people, including the bank manager. In the 1960s and early 1970s, business boomed, and our bank expanded and gained new clients. During the 1980s, the bank experienced a crisis. Problems in the sugar and coconut industries, the failure of the Masagana 99 Program, peso depreciation, and a bad economy forced the closure of several other banks and financing companies. The bank weathered the storm, survived, and even grew stronger.

The Rural Bank of Digos, Inc. was named the MOST OUTSTANDING RURAL BANK in Region XI by the Land Bank of the Philippines for fiscal year 2003. In 2004, the bank's Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws were renewed for another 50 years. In 2005, the Human Resource/Administrative Department was formally established. In 2007, the Head Office Loans Department was established formally. In 2008, the authorized capital stock was increased to 100 million dollars.
